As if Star Wars fans didn’t have enough shows to look forward to, some are hoping for a Reva spin off after the Obi-Wan Kenobi finale.
Obi-Wan Kenobi recently wrapped up with it’s sixth episode, and fans are already hoping for a season two. However, one new character in particular has left a good impression on some viewers. So much so that they hope she’ll get her own spin-off, just like Obi-Wan did.
Reva, played by Moses Ingram, had a major moment at the end of Obi-Wan Kenobi. If you don’t want spoilers for the series, look away now!
Reva and Obi-Wan
Reva turned against the dark side and refused to replicate Anakin’s actions. She delivers Luke back to Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, then gets confronted by Obi-Wan. He tells her “Who you become now, that is up to you” and “Now you’re free. We both are.”
This exchange leaves the future of the character up in the air, and some think it’s a good reason to give her a spin-off show. She’s definitely one of the most memorable new Star Wars characters in the Disney+ shows. Whether it’s enough to encourage Disney to make a spin-off show remains to be seen though.
Currently, we don’t know if Obi-Wan Kenobi will receive a second season, let alone a spin-off of its own. However, most involved with the series are interested in continuing the story.
Earlier this year, Moses Ingram received a barrage of racist online hate from Star Wars “fans”. She shared the comments she received on social media, prompting the official Star Wars twitter to post in her defence. Ewan McGregor also made a video expressing his support for his co-star, explaining how the people sending her hate are not real Star Wars fans.
