A Meta employee has left the company after he was caught on video in an amateur sting operation designed to catch paedophiles.
Jeren A. Miles was Meta’s head of Global Community Development. He was caught after PCI (Predator Catchers Indianapolis) created a two-hour video to expose him. PCI are a vigilante group who try to catch podophiles in a similar way to the ‘To Catch A Predator’ show on TV.
The video went viral on social media after being posted on YouTube. It doesn’t actually show Miles admitting to any sexual relations with minors, but he does admit to sending “graphic, sexually inappropriate messages” to a 13-year-old boy.
Since the video emerged, Miles has deleted all of his social media pages and essentially disappeared from the internet. However, an archived record of his Facebook page shows that he listed his job as “Community Development” at Meta. Nick Clegg has since replaced Miles as head of Global Community Development.

What Happened In The Video?
In the two hour-long video posted to PCI’s channel, the group claimed the man sent sexually explicit messages. and allegedly planned to meet with a child called Corey in a hotel room.
The 35-year-old said that he was “flirting” with the child. He also said he gave his “location” but that there was “never any intention of ever meeting up with him.”
In one of the messages, PCI claims that the man told the 13-year-old that he would, “enjoy naked cuddles on a cold evening with you pressed up against me”.
A Meta spokesperson said, “the seriousness of these allegations cannot be overstated. The individual is no longer employed with the company. We are actively investigating this situation and cannot provide further comment at this time”.
However, it is unclear whether or not Miles was actually fired or if he resigned. Regardless, he is no longer with Meta.
