It was recently revealed that Resident Evil 5 will be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on June 28. The game will include an improved frame rate, along with being presented in 1080p, which will make the game look much smoother than its initial 2009 release.
All previously released DLC (Lost in Nightmares, Desperate Escape, Versus Mode, and the PC exclusive No Mercy Mode) will also be included. The Mercenaries United mode, which combines The Mercenaries and The Mercenaries Reunion, will also be a part of the $20 game. These two game modes were not obtainable until a player completed the game in its original release, but will be available immediately with the game released on June 28.
The trend of remastered games is at an all-time high, and the Resident Evil series is no stranger to this. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of Resident Evil 6 were released back in March of this year, and Resident Evil 4 ports are also expected to be released soon.
