Resident Evil 2 Remake Is Nearly 4 Times More Popular Than Resi 7 On Steam

The glorious Resident Evil 2 remake has basically blown everyone away (including us), but how does it stack up to the rest of the series in sales numbers?

Well, it was predicted that the game was going to set a new record for the franchise, with its One Shot Demo being downloaded by 11 thousand Steam users [via GitHyp].

The full game definitely hasn’t disappointed, and it currently has an all-time peak of 74,227 players on Steam – nearly four times the number of people who bought Resident Evil 7 (20,449 players).

According to reports, the Resident Evil 2 remake shipped over 3 million copies in its first week, making it one of the best-selling titles of 2019.

I guess we’ll have to see how it measures up against the hot-off-the-press Kingdom Hearts 3

If you’ve already completed Resident Evil 2 don’t panic – Capcom has confirmed the first batch of free (yes, FREE!) DLC will be coming 15th February 2019.

Entitled The Ghost Survivors, the DLC will allow you to explore the story arcs of three of the lesser-seen characters in the game.
