Red Dead Online Progress Won’t Reset Once Beta Ends

Rockstar Games worried fans when it announced that player’s Red Dead Online Beta progress might not be carried over when the beta period ended.

During the launch of the online multiplayer, Rockstar admitted it didn’t know whether or not any progress made during the test, saying: “We hope that all player progress during this early period of the Beta will be able to remain intact long term, however as with many betas for large scale online experiences such as this, there is always the chance that we may need to implement rank or other stat resets in case of issues.”

However, it’s now been confirmed that the end of the Beta won’t affect your progress, which is good news for people that’s already sunk their fair share of hours into the game.

In a recent statement, Rockstar announced: “For players concerned about the potential for progress and stat resets, we currently do not have any plans to reset them as part of the Beta’s roll out.

“We are currently still working on game stability and economy balancing for an update that we hope to release later this week.

“Please stay tuned for more news to come.”

Rockstar is also aiming to improve its in-game economy, which players have branded as “broken.”
Right now, you need to earn in-game money and gold bars to pay for basic things like camp and weapons upgrades (as well as cosmetic additions), but earning the dollar is taking players hours upon hours to achieve.

It’s a serious problem for the game right now, but Rockstar is hoping to fix the issue by the end of this week. It definitely needs to act quickly, because players are logging out of Red Dead Online and not logging back in…
