RDR2 Won’t Penalise You For Killing Ku Klux Klan Members

Red Dead Redemption 2 is devoted to its realism, and it’s not shied away from some of the more sensitive issues of the game’s time.

Developer Rockstar Games has included the Ku Klux Klan in its epic new title, taking the p*ss out of the highly racist group by showing them struggling, arguing over a small turn-out to their rallies, and putting on over-the-top and embarrassingly bad displays.

Going one step further, Rockstar Games has allowed the killing of the in-game KKK without penalising you for it.

As you probably know by now, if you kill characters unprompted in Red Dead Redemption 2 it’ll affect your honour level, something which can have a direct affect on how the game plays out.

Having a low honour level affects the way other characters will interact with you, with them being more likely to report your actions as criminal if you do something as simple as accidentally bump into them.

Your honour also comes in tiers and includes bonuses, so it’s pretty important to avoid a low honour level, which means no unsolicited violence.

There is one exception to the honour code though, as it’s been confirmed that you can attack and kill members of the Ku Klux Klan without it having a moral affect on you.

Hooray!

Fans of the game are loving the interactions with the cultists, with lots of people praising the game mechanics that allow for guilt-free killing of the hate group.
