It will be up to publishers and their decision will be final and binding as far as the requirement of PS Plus is concerned in free-to-play multiplayer games, confirmed SCE Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida.
He said, “As far as free-to-play games are concerned, it’s a publisher’s decision whether they put it inside or outside of the PlayStation Plus requirements.”
The news comes after word filtered out that two PS4 MMOs DC Universe Online and Planetside 2, will not be requiring PlayStation Plus subscriptions. PS3 and PS4 players will be able to play both these games on a single server.
