PS4 Outsold Xbox One Again

To what came as a surprise to no one, the PS4 outsold the Xbox One again, making it the 8th straight month for Sony and the PS4. Gamers spent $561.3 million on new physical hardware and software at U.S. retailers last month, according to industry intelligence firm The NPD Group. Most of the money went to Sony and the PS4, as physical copies of games that were released as multi-platforms did better on the PS4. The only exception is Call of Duty: Ghosts, which is not much of a surprise since COD always does better on the Microsoft consoles.

The report, showed which games also sold well this past month and the list is presented below:

1. Madden NFL 15 (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3)
2. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3, PC)
3. Minecraft (360, PS3)
4. The Last of Us (PS4, PS3)
5. Call of Duty: Ghosts (360, Xbox One, PS4, PS3, PC, Wii U)
6. Lego Marvel Super Heroes (360, PS3, Wii U, PS4, 3DS, DS, Xbox One, Vita, PC)
7. Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (360, PS3, PS4, Xbox One)
8. Watch Dogs (PS4, 360, PS3, Xbox One, PC)
9. Battlefield 4 (360, PS3, PS4, Xbox One, PC)
10. The Lego Movie Videogame (360, 3DS, PS3, Wii U, PS4, Xbox One, Vita)

It seems that Sony is truly dominating this console generation, but it is still early. Microsoft will have to get creative if they want to keep up with Sony and not see more articles with headlines like “PS4 Outsold Xbox One Again”
