The high demand for the PlayStation 4 consoles hasn’t died down and with the holidays finally over, GameStop is pleased to announce that the PS4 is back in stock. Sony is going into overtime with the manufacturing of PlayStation 4’s as the $399 console is hard to keep on shelves. Both brick and mortar stores along with online markets couldn’t keep their hands on the units very long due to the close release date for the holidays. Recently, GameStop senior merchant Darron Nielsen explains why the company had a lack of consoles in-store throughout the United States.
“As expected, we experienced tremendous customer demand for the new PS4 console during the initial launch and throughout the holiday season, selling out of the consoles just as quickly as we could stock them.”
Now that the holiday season is over, the high demand for the PlayStation 4 will start to dwindle down a bit allowing those customers who couldn’t get their very own PS4 before can now do so. It’s best to call ahead at your local GameStop to ensure they have a system available but please note that most stores only offer a first-come, first-served rule established. However, it seems that GameStop doesn’t have any problems keeping the Xbox One in stock, mainly due to the fact that Microsoft has been slowly losing the battle against the PlayStation 4 in sales.
