PewDiePie tweets that he’s joining ISIS, people freak out

When you’re an internet personality and YouTube dominator like PewDiePie, you really can’t get away with making comments like he did recently.

Namely, the famous YouTuber, when asked why he was unverified on Twitter, responded that he and another YouTuber Jacksepticeye had “joined ISIS.” Hmm. Tweeting about ISIS never really goes down well with fans, even if some of them realized that he was only making a joke.

PewDiePie, whose real name is Felix Kjellberg, made the comments in a Tweet when many of his fans were curious as to why his verification blue tick was removed from his handle on the social media site. Check out a screenshot of the risky Tweets below:

Even though PewDiePie seems to be content making jokes about the removal of his blue verification tick on Twitter, it’s still a mystery as to why Twitter did it in the first place. The YouTuber has been known to make controversial decisions in the past, but surely none have been too serious to actually violate Twitter’s codes or policies.

One Twitter user certainly wasn’t happy and believes that the YouTube star shouldn’t really be making light of what is happening in the Middle-East with ISIS:

It seems that if PewDiePie is not careful he could possibly alienate his audience who just want to see clean, entertaining content regarding video games.
