That’s right. The whole town of Niption, California is up for sale. Gamers may remember Nipton as being the unfortunate town that Caesar’s Legion made an example out of in Fallout: New Vegas. They crucified the residents, and basically burned the place to the ground.
However, in the real world, Nipton is a historic town with a population of six people. Yes, six people. The 80 acre town is listed for sale at $5 million. Included are the solar panels that keep the town running at 50% off the grid.
“It’s quiet except for the trains and I don’t even hear the trains anymore,” resident Jim Eslinger said. “I sleep right through them. If you own the town you can call yourself the mayor if you want to because you have all the votes.”
