Tony Hawk fans rejoice, because the long-standing series is getting a new addition, and it launches in just a few days’ time.
The bad news? It’s a mobile game. Sorry, folks!

Tony Hawk’s Skate Jam is going to come with a boat-load of features and modes, including a career mode, tournaments, vert, park disciplines and more.
In terms of collectibles, they’ll still be a features of the mobile game, this time you’ll be accumulating Hawk’s Birdhouse boards. There’s over 15 parks to explore, and a lot to discover, so you can expect to get a decent amount of playtime from the game (hopefully).

It’s not too much of a surprise to see Hawk’s games making the move to mobile, as the pro skater has expressed interest in doing so in the past.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, the most recent game to release on consoles, didn’t exactly launch to rave reviews, so maybe it’s a smart idea to go back to the drawing board with the series…

There’s no set date for the release, but it’s due next week. If you register you can be one of the first to download it thanks to a notification.
I’m curious to see what this new Tony Hawk is. Going “it’s mobile” and shitting on it unseen is kinda silly. If it’s suited to the platform and it’s good, that’s all that matters.

The game will be released on iOS and Android at the same time. It’ll be free-to-play, but it will have optional microtransactions.

Being a mobile game, it’s getting mixed results from Hawk fans who’d rather see a new game on PC or console.
