New The Last of Us Patch Introduces New Multiplayer Mode

Naughty Dog has issued a new patch, 1.03, fixing a number of issues and tweaking a few things in multiplayer, but the big item is a whole new mode. Interrogation mode has two factions looking to open the other’s lock box. You do this by interrogating five members of the other team to locate it. Interrogations can be done with a shiv or a button prompt on a downed enemy. Whoever gets the other’s lock box open first wins.

Interrogations are longer than normal executions, but you don’t get information without them. There are a number of risk/reward factors to take into consideration. Two of The Last of Us developers made a video to more fully explain the nuances of the mode.
