New Hogwarts Legacy Gameplay Is Coming Tomorrow – Here’s When

Sony has announced that a State of Play dedicated to Hogwarts Legacy is scheduled to take place later this week.

After months of silence, we’re finally getting an extended look at Hogwarts Legacy gameplay later this week. The State of Play will take place on Thursday, March 17th at 10PM GMT.

Sony announced the State of Play on its official blog. It reads: “Avalanche Software and Warner Bros. Games are happy to partner with PlayStation to bring you a special edition of State of Play entirely dedicated to Hogwarts Legacy.

“Since we first revealed Hogwarts Legacy, the trailer has been viewed over 28 million times on the PlayStation YouTube channel. We promised to share more this year, and we’re finally ready to deliver on that promise.”

According to the blog post, we can expect the show to run for approximately 20-minutes. Of that runtime, 14-minutes will consists of brand new gameplay captured on PS5. Developers from Avalanche Software will be on hand to talk us through what the game has to offer.

What is Hogwarts Legacy?

Hogwarts Legacy is set in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, around 100-years before the events of the films. Players can create their own Witch or Wizard and take part in the daily activities of a Hogwarts student. It’s expected to feature deep RPG mechanics as well as some wicked looking spell combat.

There is currently no release date for Hogwarts Legacy. However, it’s expected to release before the end of the year. Hopefully, this State of Play will reveal a more concrete release date.
