Netflix will increase its streaming service price by $1 to $2 dollars per month. Of course this will effect the new members only.
“A one or two dollar increase, depending on the country, later this quarter for new members only”
According to TheWrap, CEO Reed Hastings and CFO David Wells didn’t give any specific details on the price increases, but the letter revealed ,“Our current view is to do a one or two dollar increase, depending on the country, later this quarter for new members only”.
Although, the current Netflix members will still continue their service $7.99 a month but “for a generous time period.”
This is the first time the company ready to increase their price range ever since they split up with DVD rental and streaming video service back in 2011.
