With games being delayed more pressure is put on those reaming to lead the charge for the next generation. Killzone: Shadow Fall is the only console exclusive for the PlayStation 4 with some franchise recognition. Along with a solid multiplayer offering, Steven ter Heide says that the single player campaign should provide 10 hours of content “for most gamers.”
The multiplayer will launch with 22 weapons right from the get go. The idea is that it will allow players option and they can later unlock attachments and customization options through challenges. The game will ship with 1500 challenges and more are to be added post launch. And later down the line online co-op and a hoard mode will be added in. There are currently “no plans for split-screen support.”
