Killzone 3 multiplayer to go free-to-play, releasing on PSN next week

Sony’s confirmed it’ll be releasing something called Killzone 3 multiplayer suit which will be a “standalone” version of the multiplayer component of the game and will release on PSN next week for free with a level cap.

Once the cap has been reached, you can continue playing by coughing up an amount of 15 dollars. The version will feature all the maps included in the standard game.

It won’t come with the single-player component, you’ll need to buy the full game to access it.

It’ll be available on both EU and US PS Stores.

If you already own Killzone 3, you can earn Double XP starting Friday, March 2 at 5.00PM UK until Monday, March 5 at 10.00AM UK time.

The trial version of Killzone 3 Multiplayer will be excluded from the Double XP Weekend.
