Invisible Player Bug Returns To Frustrate Warzone Players

The invisible player bug has returned to haunt regular players of Warzone, despite it being patched out several times in the past.

Warzone remains one of the biggest battle royale games out there, and one of the most popular, too. After recently celebrating the launch of Season Four, things seem better than ever for the massively multiplayer shooter.

Despite the lucrative new additions, a bug has returned that many longterm players will remember from seasons past. A glitch in which character models appear completely invisible has resurfaced, proving incredibly annoying for those on the receiving end [via Dexerto].

Numerous reports of players getting shot by invisible players are starting to come out of the woodwork. A damning clip on Reddit confirms that the bug is indeed real and not hearsay. You can clearly see that this streamer’s character is assassinated by an enemy that’s completely invisible to the naked eye.

Apparently, this bug has appeared in the past when Raven Software has added new vehicles to Warzone. The last time the inconvenience reared its head was in Season 2 reloaded, the mid-season update that added Attack Helicopters to the map.

Why has the bug reappeared?

So, what’s changed this season for the bug to re-appear? The current working theory is that the new armoured trucks are the culprit.

Luckily, Raven Software is on the ball. The studio has already said that it is aware of the issue and has added the problem to the public bug tracking Trello board.

Raven doesn’t promise when a fix will be on the way, though it’s usually fairly quick to implement them. The sooner the better – it’s impossible to compete with enemies that you can’t see, for obvious reasons.

Warzone has seen its fair share of game breaking bugs recently. It seems like just yesterday when we were reporting on players using under the map glitches to exploit matches.
