Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 4 is about to reach the half way mark, marked by the usual occurrence of the Reloaded season in Warzone and Cold War.
No matter which faucet of Call of Duty you’re playing right now, there should be something for you to get excited about. Unless you’re playing Modern Warfare, that is.
To win is to sacrifice. 👊

Let’s break down the content that Activision is bringing to the shooter later this week.
Zombies
We’ve already done a breakdown of the new content coming to Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies mode. To give you the quick rundown, there’s a third standalone map coming in the form of ‘Mauer Der Toten’.It’s set in Berlin and lets players run wild either atop the rooves or beneath in the subway system.
It’ll see the return of the Mule Kick perk so players can finally equip a third weapon for all that zombie killing. A new wonder weapon with four different variants will also arrive, and it looks wicked. Looking like a futuristic laser desert eagle, it looks as though it’ll have no trouble chewing through the undead.

On top of that, there’s a new crafting item to enjoy, as well as new challenges and intel for those who are still following the Dark Aether storyline.
Multiplayer
Moving on to Cold War multiplayer and Black Ops 2 fans are in for a treat. The map ‘Rush’ from one of Black Ops 2’s DLC packs is returning. It takes place in an abandoned paintball arena, so it’s tailor made for a team deathmatch map. It’s one of the more colourful ones, too – it makes for a nice change after the beige desert of Collateral which arrived at the start of Season 4.
To go along with the map, the Paintball Moshpit gamemode is available alongside Capture the Flag. We don’t know exactly how Painball Moshpit will work yet, but I’m assuming it adds something like messy tracers to all of the weapons. I’m especially looking forward to Capture the Flag, though. The FPS classic mode is always a fun time in whichever game it’s included in.

‘Weaver’ is your new Operator this time around. He’s a sturdy looking chap with an eyepatch. What’s not to love?
The ‘OTS 9’ is the only weapon to arrive in Season 4 Reloaded. The SMG is a dinky looking thing. Here’s hoping it’s a little easier to control than the C58, which we recently reviewed.
A frightening-looking Mace takes the melee slot, adding to the ever growing list of things you can bash people with. When will they run out of ideas?
Warzone
Finally, we have the new additions to Warzone. There’s a couple of different game modes here for players to sink their teeth into.
First up is Payload, Warzone’s first ever objective-based game mode. The mode sees two teams of 20 fighting to protect or attack a moving convoy. The defending team must move a set of vehicles through a series of checkpoints within a time limit to win.
Attackers must prevent that from happening at all costs. They can respawn infinitely and construct blockades to try and funnel the convoy into a different direction. It certainly sounds like a more ambitious mode for Warzone.

Another exciting addition is Blueprint Blitz. This event will allow players to earn weapon blueprints for weapons of their choice. To do so, you’ll need to complete two normal contracts within a match of Warzone. A Contraband Contract will then spawn which, if completed, will reward you with a Weapon Blueprint.
What’s interesting is that this mode will enable players to unlock blueprints from previous seasons. If there was a particular one that you missed out on, now might be the time get back on the grind.
The last addition to Warzone is the Sentry Gun killstreak. Whack one of these bad lads down in an area you’re defending and it’ll make approaching very tricky for your opponents.
That’s about everything arriving in Warzone Season 4 Reloaded. The update will drop on 15th July later this week. Here’s hoping for a cheeky double XP weekend soon to make for the perfect grind session.
