GTA V Now Lets You Play As One Of The Best X-Men

A new GTA 5 mod can now give you the opportunity to play as Magneto from X-Men.

JulioNIB, a Grand Theft Auto 5 modder, seems to particularly love the baddie/goodie from everyone’s favourite universe. Okay, maybe not favourite. But definitely in the top five. Ten? I don’t know.

According to VideoGamer, the GTA 5 mod gives you access to all of Magneto’s signature abilities. You want to levitate? Sure, go for it. Throwing cars and lorries around? Why not. Treat yourself.

Obviously, you’ve got control over all of the metal in the universe. Which includes pulling planes out of the sky. Cool as f*ck, right?

Grand Theft Auto V is widely-recognised as being one of the best games in the GTA franchise, and its critical acclaim and worldwide success rocketed the title to being one of the highest-rated games of all time.

It’s now been five whole years since GTA V first launched, but it looks like even half a decade later, people can’t seem to get enough of it.

According to the recently-published US PlayStation Store sales details, GTA V was the best-selling title for the US in July – a massive achievement considering it’s now half a decade old!

It was also the most-purchased game from the US PS Store in June too, and according to the most recent report from Take-Two, GTA V’s total number of worldwide sales since launch has nearly hit 100 million.

100 million!

The open-world action game is always encouraging people to try out the experience, with DLC still being released and crossover promotions running for those waiting to buy Rockstar’s next title, Red Dead Redemption 2.

The other top-selling PS4 games in the US for July include No Man’s Sky, which is enjoying more time in the limelight thanks to its massive NEXT update, FIFA 18, Rocket League and Fallout 4.

In other Rockstar-related news, gamers are petitioning for the company to bring its upcoming title, Red Dead Redemption 2 to PC

Aleo Aninda has amassed close to 70,000 signatures (at the time of writing), almost hitting the ambitious goal of 75,000 signatures.

Aninda writes on the page: “Because Red Dead Redemption is an amazing game and we PC players have been denied from playing it. Please don’t do the same with Red Dead Redemption 2.”

If the success of GTA V is anything to go by, Rockstar could have a lot of money on the horizon if they choose to give the game a PC release…

Red Dead Redemption 2 will be releasing on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, 26th October 2018.
