Remember God Of War? 2018’s It PlayStation exclusive before the likes of Spider-Man swung into town? Well you should do, because aside from being a return to form for one of the most beloved franchises in gaming, it was also one of the most critically acclaimed games we’ve seen in a long time.
Cory Barlog, the game’s director and writer, has naturally been enjoying the huge success of the game, but he’s also not been too shy about his next projects…
The games creator recently met up with the director of the Warcraft movie, Duncan Jones, and their meeting sparked a very interesting exchange on Twitter which says that the best of Barlog is yet to come.
On a positive note, @corybarlog turns out to be as sweet, thoughtful & intelligent as I’d grown to think he is from our online interactions. And if you think that God of War is his magnum opus, just you wait!

To combat rumours that Barlog might be moving into the world of movies, Jones added: “So why was I meeting with Cory? Well, first, I am a fan… and 2ndly, I wanted an honest take on a certain script, from an artist who I think has an incredibly strong skill for storytelling.”
