There’s certainly been a few announcements recently on video game development studios departures and even closings. First it was Irrational Games closing, Amy Hennig departs Naughty Dog, Koji Igarashi taking his leave from Konami and top that off with Jaime Griesemer leaving Sucker Punch. Productions. Now we can add God of War 3 game director Stig Asmussen as he confirmed his departure from Sony Santa Monica Studio.
We don’t have any information as to why Stig Asmussen left the company but Stig had worked on several titles for the Santa Monica Studio which includes the God of War series. A statement was released to IGN that states the following.
SCEA can confirm that Stig Asmussen is no longer with Santa Monica Studio.
So again, no details as to why the departure or what Stig Asmussen is working on next but we wish Stig the best! Once further details is released, we will update this article.
