The light bar on top of the DualShock 4 can neither be dimmed nor turned of, as revealed by SCE Worlwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida via Twitter.
Players who like to game in a dark room will face problems if a fix is not engineered by Sony as the light bar will reflect on glossy TV screens. Moreover, gamers are also concerned about the fact that the light bar will reduce the battery life of the controller.
Why didn’t Sony think about it? Probably the reason why this was overlooked was because Sony had originally planned to bundle the PS Eye with the PS4 but had to change plans to make it less pricey. Hopefully, Sony will fix it soon enough or we will have to resort to duct taping.
