In a post on the Call of Duty website, Sledgehammer has revealed CoD: Vanguard’s install size on each platform.
As the game approaches its November 5th launch, it’s only right we finally learn how big the game is. After all, Call of Duty isn’t exactly known for its small file size, so fans need to know how long it will take to install.
Past entries in the series have racked up immense file sizes, but Vanguard is starting off at a relatively manageable size. Well, at least in comparison to Warzone and Modern Warfare.

How Big Are We Talking?
Here are the install sizes for each console:
PlayStation 5: 64.13 GB Download | 89.84 GB Required Space
PlayStation 4: 54.65 GB Download | 93.12 GB Required Space
Xbox Series X |S: 61 GB Download | 61 GB Required Space
Xbox One: 56.6 GB Download | 56.6 GB Required Space
Sledgehammer claims “due to new on-demand texture streaming tech, Vanguard’s install size at launch will be significantly below that of previous Call of Duty releases – up to 30% – 50%+ of a file size difference on next-gen console and PC.”
Information on the PC version of the game will be coming soon. Preloading is available on PC from November 2nd. On consoles, it varies depending on which platform. PlayStation players can preload on October 29th at midnight, but if you’re in North or South America you can start a day early. Xbox preloading begins on October 28th at 9pm PT.
