Battlefield 2042 Has Just Lost A Bunch Of Content

Battlefield 2042 has just had a massive amount of content removed as part of its live service in response to dwindling playercounts.

Battlefield 2042 has been quite…. divisive, to say the least. The game launched in a mess, with bugs and glitches galore causing the player count of the game to bleed so heavily that it dipped underneath the nine-year-old game Battlefield 4. Now, we’re losing content too.

The Featured Experience, a series of rotating game modes in Battlefield Portal, has been changed to reduce the amount of modes from five to three. It’s unclear as to why, but the easiest bet would be to say that the entire reason they’re reducing it is due to the tiny player count. Currently, matches take a while to fill up as a result of the dwindling player count.

It’s fair to say that the Battlefield franchise is in a pretty bad shape currently. The player count is absolutely tiny and the fanbase is extremely annoyed by the latest buggy release. Still, it’ll be interesting to see whether or not this works in DICE’s favour and helps to bring more players back to the game. Who knows? Maybe this will anger players further.

What do you think? Are you excited for the changes made to Battlefield 2042? Or do you think it’s too little too late in terms of trying to make the game actually playable? Let us know across our social channels.
