Assassin’s Creed Rogue Officially Announced

Assassin’s Creed Rogue has been leaked and teased before but until now, it was simply a rumor. Today Ubisoft has officially announced their latest Assassin’s Creed title. For the first time in the Assassin’s Creed series, players will be taking the role of a Templar.

Ubisoft has revealed Assassin’s Creed Rogue today. With so many Assassin’s Creed fans, it would have been a pretty big bummer not getting to play a new AC game this year with Unity only being available for the latest generation of consoles. For Assassin’s Creed Rogue, this new title will be set only for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Assassin’s Creed Rogue is set in the 18th century during the Seven Years War. Players will take control of Shay Patrick Cormac, a former Assassin’s turned Templar. Ubisoft has revealed that players will adventure into new locations never before seen in past Assassin’s Creed games. These new locations so far includes North Atlantic, New York and the Appalachian River Valley.

Along with new locations, Assassin’s Creed Rogue will feature new weapons both land and sea as players will once again have the ability to venture off into sea via ship. Currently, Assassin’s Creed Rogue will also release the same time as Assassin’s Creed Unity, November 11, 2014.
