5. Mafia III

I really wanted to like Mafia III, it had so much potential. But, I was just so disappointed with its execution. While the story and characters were interesting and kept me playing all the way through, the numerous issues at launch, including the horror stories occurring with the PC version of the game, such as the issues with people who purchased the Deluxe Edition, in addition to the PC version being locked to 30fps.

In addition to the issues upon release, the game was rather mundane in gameplay. With the lack of innovation in the gameplay, repetitive missions and pointless side quests, it was just another generic open world title that copied and pasted what made Grand Theft Auto without the originality to make it its own title. In my opinion, 2K should have delayed the game a bit to address its flaws, maybe then it would not have been considered a disaster.
