The game is all about the central character Knack, a mysterious creature created by a human doctor who found a way to bind together ancient relics and give it a consciousness. Knack possesses amazing powers; he can transform himself into a gigantic machine by incorporating more relics into his body. The game is set 30 years after the events of Killzone 3. War still rages on with the Interplanetary Strategic Alliance allowing Helghast refugees to settle on the planet Vekta. The storyline primarily incorporates a “cold war” between Vektans and the Helghast.

Killzone fans will definitely be the first to pick up this game. Definitely one to buy.

Developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts, Battlefield 4 is a sequel to Battlefield 3 and the 13th installment in the series.

The single player campaign of the game takes place in the year 2020, six years after its predecessor. The player controls “Recker”, a member of a U.S. Special Operations squad. There have been a number of tweaks in the game compared to Battlefield 3. The players can now use dual-scoped weapons with different firing modes. Targets can now be marked on the map. Players will have more survival capabilities like diving underwater to avoid detection and firing a sidearm while swimming.

Arguably the best looking game on the PS4 yet, Battlefield 4 promises to dazzle us with its impressive graphics and gameplay. Definitely one to pick at launch.

Developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft, Watch Dogs is a open world action adventure stealth video game. The game centers around the player’s superhuman ability to hack into a multitude of electronic systems to obtain information or destroy them.

The players assume the role of a vigilante named Aiden Pierce who has to complete various objectives by using his special ability of hacking into electronic devices connected to the city’s central operating system. The gameplay utilizes a combination of stealth and Parkour, along with mechanics of cover based third person shooters. The multiplayer aspect of the game is also an extensive one in which other players can control surveillance cameras in an attempt to hack the main player.

With a innovative storyline, single player and an interesting multiplayer element, Watch Dogs is definitely a game to pick up at launch.

Developed by Evolution Studios exclusively for the PS4, DriveClub is a racing video game which was announced during the PlayStation 4 press conference on 20 February 2013.

DriveClub focuses on on-road racing rather than off-road racing which was a specialty of the previous game from the same developer, MotorStorm. It will not be a racing simulator like Gran Turismo but will be more of a rival to games like Grid 2. The multiplayer element will be one to watch out for with players managing racing teams with other players.

Fans of the racing genre will definitely benefit by picking up DriveClub at the PS4 launch.

The sixth major installment in the Assassin’s Creed series and a sequel to 2012’s Assassin’s Creed III, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is a historical action-adventure open world video game being developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft.

Three main cities will be featured in the game,  Havana, Kingston, and Nassau. The game will feature 50 locations to explore, and will have a more open world feel than its predecessors. As opposed to Assassin’s Creed III, the world opens up sooner in the game and the imposes fewer restrictions on the players. As a new aspect in the gameplay, the player will captain the ship, Jackdaw, which will be accessible and upgradeable throughout the game. A new underwater component is also being added along with a spyglass, to view distant objects. The multiplayer will only be land based.

With a large fan following, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is definitely one to be picked up at the PS4 launch.
