Pokemon GO! was – and still is – one of the most successful mobile games of all time, and when it was announced last year that the game’s devs, Niantic, planned to release a Harry Potter AR game, fans completely lost it.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard any news on the game though, and fans were beginning to wonder what the heck had happened to it.
Luckily, if you’ve been waiting for further news, here it is!
The official trailer for Wizards Unite has dropped, and it looks pretty damn cool.

The Wizard’s Unite website states: “Please resist the urge to panic. Traces of magic are appearing across the Muggle world without warning and in a rather chaotic manner.
“We worry it is only a matter of time before even the most incurious Muggles catch wind of it. We call on all witches and wizards to help contain the Calamity or risk the worst of times since You Know Who. Brush up on your spells, get your wand ready, and enlist immediately.”

Sounds pretty exciting!
Developed by Niantic and Portkey Games and licensed by Warner Bros. the new mobile game is expected to release some time next year.
This is a really nifty trailer. Would love to see #WizardsUnite provoke that same kind of feeling, but I kinda fear it’s going to be another #PokemonGO. Because as much fun as that game is… It ain’t anything like what the trailers were promising. xD https://t.co/70aJC4q5hi

People are speculating it won’t be too much of a wait though, as the J.K Rowling fandom is already in hype mode thanks to the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them: Crimes of Grindlewald movie releasing later this week.

Check out the trailer for Wizards Unite below, and let us know what you think! Will you be playing when this launches?
