EA has shown three more maps players can experience in Battlefield 2042 when it launches this November.
The maps were revealed in a trailer on the Battlefield YouTube channel. Rather than giving a lot of information, the video showed some quick action on each map before moving to the next.
The maps are called Renewal, Breakaway and Discarded, and they’re all looking pretty good at first glance. Each map has some impressive sights, and they look like a lot of fun to try out.
Around The World
Renewal is set in an Egyptian desert. One side of the map features a research facility, and the other is host to a power station. The name certainly hints at renewable energy being a theme of the map, so it’s no surprise to see these kind of structures. This is a wild guess, but perhaps players will be able to interact with the power in these facilities?
Breakaway looks particularly impressive. It’s set in Antarctica, and the huge icy vistas on display are quite breathtaking. The map includes an offshore platform, outlook station and a frozen coastline. There are vantage points high above the icy waters where players can snipe or descend into a glide with the wingsuit.
Lastly, Discarded is set in a flooded village in Alang, India. The map is full of small buildings and shipping containers, but the main landmark is the Colossus Ship. Players can fight inside or around it, and there’s a dismantling yard for players to engage in too. This map has unpredictable weather, and tornadoes can appear at any moment.
