Square Enix Cease and Desist Final Fantasy Type-0 Fan English Patch

Final Fantasy Type-0 for the PlayStation Portable and PS Vita is currently only available in Japan. Those who were looking to get an English patch was currently waiting for Operation Doomtrain, a fan who was working on the patch with an expected release next month. Now it seems the patch has been cancelled thanks to Square Enix.

The latest post on Sky Blade Cloud revealed that Square Enix sent out a cease and desist for the patch causing the English port for the PlayStation Portable and the PlayStation Vita to forever stay in the Japanese market. Instead, for fans to play the English patch can do so on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One when the HD port releases.

You know I normally use blog posts for relevant information only, such as project announcements or releases. However, I’m sorry this time it’ll be a little bit different:

Unfortunately I’m forced to remove my posts and pages related to the popular Final Fantasy Type-0 fan translation project. That’s right, certain game company thinks that threats and false accusations are the way to treat its biggest fans. For the time being I can’t answer questions related to this matter, but I’ll write a more comprehensive post about all this once I get the chance.

I hope you understand, and as always I appreciate your support (that I might need more that ever in the near future). Thank you very much

Again the game will be making its way to western markets in a HD remastered version for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One though there is currently no release date for the game.
