For those of who can recall, China recently lifted their ban on video games last year. Now news reports are stating that Sony is preparing a launch for the PlayStation 4 in China with a facility capable of producing consoles within Shangahi.
Reports were made from The Wall Street Journal that Sony has a factory in Shangahi that will begin packaging PlayStation consoles starting December. Microsoft was the first of the big three to make it’s way into China after the ban with the Xbox One. According to reports, Microsoft managed to pass 100,000 units for the Xbox One in the first sales week.
We’re very curious to see how well the PlayStation 4 does within China with Microsoft’s Xbox One already available. However, gamers within China will not be getting some of the big name titles due to the strict censorship rules placed on video games within China.
