When Rockstar revealed that Grand Theft Auto 5 will b releasing on the latest video game consoles, the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, it was noted that gamers could easily transfer their accounts. From Rockstar, it was also stated that it wouldn’t matter if you were transferring an account from Microsoft to Sony or vice versa as the account transfer would allow to be cross platform as well. Now that Grand Theft Auto 5 has released for the latest generation of consoles, a select amount of players are experiencing issues with the account transfer.
According to the reports being made by players, Grand Theft Auto 5 on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One are having issues recovering their old accounts especially if they haven’t played the game since 2013. Rockstar has made an announcement on their support website stating that they are “urgently” working on a fix.
Rockstar did not give an estimate of how much time it will take before the patch is ready for release and it’s unclear as to how many gamers are affected with the account transfer problem. Regardless, we hope Rockstar can bring out a patch shortly and gamers are not forced into replaying the entire game to regain their progress and items equipped.
