Resident Evil Revelations 2 preview

Resident Evil Revelations 2 is the next installment in the Resident Evil saga. Resident Evil Revelations 2 has promised true survival horror and from what i have seen it delivers.

In 2012 Resident Evil 6 was released and it disappointed thousands of fans around the world. However not everyone knows that the same year a more survival horror orientated Resident Evil game was released and it was amazing. In this game you didn’t fight the iconic zombies nor did you fight people that sprouted vines out of their heads, you were pitted against withering BOW’s that could crawl through the claustrophobic vents and would kill you with no more than 2 or 3 hits.

The popularity of the first game obviously inspired Capcom to commission a new game for the Revelations side series. Like the first game we will be put into a world where ammo is scarce and virus ridden corpses shuffle through the abandoned hallways. For those of you who don’t know the story for Revelations 2 here is a catch up. In the first episode Claire Redfield and Moira Burton (the daughter of the one and only Barry Burton) are captured by a group of terrorists and taken to a virus ridden prison.

Recently gameplay footage from TGS was released and it showed alot of new information. In Resident Evil Zero you had the ability to switch between Rebecca and her partner which offered up more complicated and fun puzzles for us to solve, that has returned and is even more innovative. Another thing it showed will likely play a big part in the story. TerraSave an organisation from Resident Evil Degeneration that takes care of areas effected by a BOW attack, has been added to the game, and will likely play a big part in the story.

The game is being released episodically and will last over 4 weeks, then the game will be released on disc.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 is being released in early 2015 for PS4, Xbox one, PS3 Xbox 360, and PC
