Red Dead Online’s Release Date Teased By Rockstar

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game that’s going to keep you busy for a long time, but even once you’ve had your fill of the base game, you’ll soon be able to enjoy its upcoming online mode – Red Dead Online.

Although the game itself launched late last month, its online features aren’t set to come into play until sometime in the future, but it seems now we’ve got a release window for when we can expect it, at least according to Rockstar Games’ parent company, Take-Two.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has given us a very clear hint during an earnings call, saying Red Dead Online is set to release “toward the end of the month.” Which means only one thing – you’ve got one month to work your way through the base game!

Rockstar is being incredibly realistic with the venture, expecting a few issues to begin with, which is to be expected really.

Don’t forget though, this is ROCKSTAR GAMES – the team that brought us the joy that is Grand Theft Auto Online – let’s face it, it knows how to create an online universe just as well as a self-contained one.

In a previous statement about Red Dead Online the company gave us a taster of what we can expect, stating:

“Using the gameplay of the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 as a foundation, Red Dead Online will be ready to be explored alone or with friends, and will also feature constant updates and adjustments to grow and evolve this experience for all players.”

Sounds exciting!

Fans are already speculating about the specifics of the game though, with lots of in-game trophies potentially hinting at the sorts of missions you can expect from the online play.
