PlayStation Store on PS3 Now Accepts PayPal

For PlayStation users who are wary of tying their credit card to their PSN account, they now have the option to play for content through PayPal., Sony announced on the PlayStation Blog.

PayPal is the most popular payment system on the web. Users will now have the option of using it to add funds to the Sony Entertainment Network wallet on their console between the amounts of $5 and $150, the maximum. Simply click “Add Funds” and choose “PayPal” when checking out to use that option. You will, of course, have to have a PayPal account already set up.

In January, Sony began allowing people to add money via the web and in August they began allowing people to add funds from their mobile phones. The only question is why Sony didn’t take these steps sooner. Seems rather like a no brainer.
