PlayStation EU Boss Talks EA Access

EA Access recently came out for the Xbox One and to several gamers, it was a surprise to see Sony stand against the service. Jim Ryan, PlayStation EU boss, talked with Metro about why Sony isn’t partnering up with EA access.

For those unaware, EA Access is a service that requires a $5/month or $30/year subscription. Gamers who partake in the service will get access to the vault which stores several EA video games completely free within the subscription. Furthermore, gamers will also have access to discounted digital content and the ability to play upcoming video games before they are released.

According to Jim Ryan:

We don’t have anything against EA Access, we just need to position it. These sort of offerings they’ve got to fit into the framework of everything we do and everything that we offer. And we’re just not quite comfortable with how it sits within the whole ecosystem of our digital offering, including PlayStation Plus.

So it seems that we could get EA Access at some point for the PlayStation 4. We will keep you updated on the very latest right here on PlayStation Gang.
