PlayStation 4 Buyers Getting on Average Three Games

Sony sold one million consoles in the first 24 hours of the PlayStation 4 being on sale in North America alone.

Thankfully, players, on average, also bought three different games according to EA CFO Blake Jorgensen at UBS Global Technology Conference.

That means for every three games sold, EA sold one of their launch games to buyers including Battlefield 4, Need for Speed: Rivals, FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25 or NBA Live 14.

This is a much smoother transition for them and it looks like Microsoft’s will be similar…It looks like the average consumer tie-ratio was about three pieces of software per console, which is exactly what we [projected]…And it looks like one out of every three pieces of software was coming out of Electronic Arts.

EA looks like it’s in a very comfortable position this gen.
