NBA 2K13: 2012 Olympic Team and 1992 Dream Team to be Featured

2K Sports has formed a partnership with US Basketball and is featuring both the 1992 Dream Team and the 2012 London Olympic gold medal winner team in its upcoming game NBA 2K13.

The idea of this combination is a brainchild of JAY Z, 2K Sports’ celebrity executive producer. In a statement, 2K’s marketing dude Jason Argent said,“Letting fans go head to head with these legendary USA teams was extremely important to JAY Z. We are excited to partner with USA Basketball, and share in JAY Z’s enthusiasm in making this a reality in NBA 2K13.”

Kevin Durant, the Olympic gold winning captain of the US team was very excited by the development and said,“It was an incredible blessing to have been part of the 2012 USA Basketball National Team/ USA Basketball’s National Team legacy is incredible and so many of basketball’s all-time greats have been part of it, I’m just honored to be in that group. Like everybody, I can’t wait to see how our squad stacks up against the 1992 team in NBA 2K13.”

The 1992 Dream Team is made up of Hall of Famers like  Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Clyde Drexler, Karl Malone, Chris Mullin, David Robinson and Charles Barkley to say the least.

This concept of matching up the best against each other has grabbed a lot of attention and we eagerly await the launch of the game.
