Microsoft may own Minecraft along with Mojang but PlayStation 4 gamers will still have the chance to pick up Minecraft in retail copy this October.
Sony has revealed that Minecraft will be releasing on the PlayStation 4 in retail version starting on October 3 for Europe with North America receiving the game October 7. There’s still no word as to when the release date will be announced for Minecraft: PS Vita Edition will be announced but we’ll keep you updated.
Upon purchasing Minecraft: PS4 Edition in retail form, you may want to note that there is a day one patch that will fix a few minor bugs. We’re unsure of what the future of Minecraft will hold since Microsoft now owns the Mojang but for now, Minecraft is available for multiple platforms.
