We might finally have a release date for Modern Warfare: Remastered standalone version


Modern Warfare: Remastered was the shining factor about last year’s dismal standalone Call of Duty title.

It was the glue holding everything together as there was no way to purchase the game except buying one of the special editions of Infinite Warfare.

However, reports are piling up about an standalone release for Modern Warfare: Remastered, even though it’s been eight months since IW’s release.

Now, the most definitive leak has surfaced in the form of Amazon Japan listing the PS4 version of the game for a June 20th release date. The Xbox One version is listed to release on July 20th.

This bodes well since Activision has a deal with PlayStation and PS4 users getting the game a month earlier would reaffirm that commitment.

The release date itself fits into the scheme of things with Activision expected to announce the same during Sony’s E3 press conference this year.
