GTA V PS5 Black Screen Error – What is it?
As players transfer their Grand Theft Auto V online character from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5, they are greeted with a black screen with background music. Some players have tried to let the screen run out in hopes that it’s a terrible loading screen, but that hasn’t helped. In fact, going to a hardware store and asking for a “long weight” would be more productive. Yes, we do terrible dad jokes too.
Normally, PlayStation 5 can black screen by doing one of the following actions:
- Changing the PS5 resolution up higher than the TV can handle
- Changing the TV
- Loose or faulty HDMI cable
- Faulty HDMI port on the PS5 or TV
It can also display a black screen because it’s not turned on, but we assume that our readers did so in the first place, right?
How To Fix The Black Screen Error
GTA V PS5 black screen errors are happening when users transfer their GTA V Online character from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5. It’s a worry that users will lose their character and progress when this error happens, but don’t worry – there’s a simple solution.
First, make sure the character transfer has been completed on the GTA Online app. Then restart the app and PlayStation 5 to cure the black screen error. Providi the transfer has been completed, players should have their character ported over with no issues.
