Sony has announced Ghostbusters 5 and Venom 3 during its CinemaCon panel following the success of previous entries in both franchises.
Fans of these films will be pleased to hear that more sequels are on the way. Venom: Let There Be Carnage was a big hit for Sony, earning over $500 million worldwide. Despite mixed reviews, a third film is on the way, and it could go in a few different directions.
Venom, played by Tom Hardy, briefly entered the MCU in a post credits scene for No Way Home. Whether or not he’ll return is unknown, but it does leave the door open for some interesting ideas or crossovers.

Venom 3 and Ghostbusters 5 – Previous Successes
Meanwhile, Ghostbusters: Afterlife performed pretty well at the box office as well. Fans seemed to prefer the most recent revamp, starring Paul Rudd, Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace.
The new film is currently untitled, but it has been confirmed to be in development by Sony. No actors or director have been announced yet, and we don’t know if any cast members will return. However, it’s likely to be a follow-up to Afterlife.
Regardless, fans will have to wait a little longer for more concrete info on these films. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we get some further announcements.
