Facebook Dark Mode Android is a brilliant accessibility option and helps keep that blue light away at bedtime. It seems like every social media app has a dark mode for its platform. If you, like me, would rather give your eyes a rest from the bright white colour of so many different apps, you too can switch them to dark mode.
Facebook specifically is where we are starting in this article. It’s very easy to enable dark mode on Facebook on any platform, but today we are looking at Facebook Dark Mode Android.
Facebook Dark Mode Android
- Step 1: Navigate to the Facebook App on your Android device.
- Step 2: Tap the hamburger menu in the top, right-hand corner of the app.
- Step 3: Scroll down to the Settings & Privacy button and select the down-pointing arrow to expand it.
- Step 4: Select Settings from the expanded menu.
- Step 5: Select Preferences from the Settings & Privacy settings and tap Dark Mode.
From here, you have three options. You can turn On Darkmode, which means you will always view Facebook on your android device in dark mode. You can turn Off dark mode, which means you will never view Facebook on your android device in dark mode. This is likely what is selected.
Via System Settings – Facebook Dark Mode Android
Or, you can select Use System Settings, which will adjust to Facebook Dark Mode when your phone’s display is adjusted to be darker and put you in Facebook regular mode when your phone is meant to be brighter. It’s like changing the brightness based on how light it is around you so that the stark white isn’t a huge shock to your eyes if your phone detects you in darkness.
Once you have selected On, you will see your Facebook app instantly turn dark, with the text becoming white. You won’t need to navigate to these settings again unless you want to turn off dark mode in the future. Hopefully, this will give a needed break to your eyes.
