Yesterday Sony confirmed the next PS4 firmware update release date. This will be by far one of the most important update the PS4 will receive.
Today we got two more important features that are coming in with the latest update being the Music Player app and the ability to dim the light produced by the Dual Shock 4 controller.
Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida, ran a test on the “Music Player Demo” and left behind visible tracks on his PSN profile which you can view down below. It appears that it was an unannounced secret features that was kept hidden on his profile. A friend from the Yoshida-san friend list also provided new screenshots of the upcoming music player application, which you can view down below.
Yoshida-san also confirmed the light dimming feature will be included on the 1.7 firmware update.
The PS4 1.7 firmware update will also include numerous other features, HDCP off HD quality for streaming , SHAREfactory for Video editing and it will give you the choice of transferring video and screenshots to external USB storage.
