When it comes to having a mobile phone, you will often get notifications. These notifications can be from apps, social media platforms, text messages and calls. If you are in an important meeting or if you just want a break, the best idea is to implement do not disturb Android on your Android device.

That way, your notifications will not light up on your phone, make a noise or vibrate your phone. You will essentially continue to get these notifications, without any visible sign of having them. Let’s get into how to enable this mode.
Do Not Disturb Android
Please note that you need to have Android 9 and above for this guide.
- Step 1: Swipe down from the top of your screen, on the homepage, with two fingers.
- Step 2: Locate Do Not Disturb or your current option that your phone is set to, and tap the down arrow.
- Step 3: Select Do Not Disturb.
- Step 4: If you’d like, tap Alarms Only
- Step 5: If you’d like, you can set how long you want Do Not Disturb mode to last.
- Step 6: Select Done.
It is worth noting that you can actually set specific things to notify you, even if in Do Not Disturb mode. If you have specific contacts you want to be able to call you no matter what, or Google Calendar notifications to be sent to your phone in this mode, you can go into the settings to change around some of these options.
Do not disturb mode is really useful when it comes to keeping focused, and is something that is recommended when driving or sleeping so that you will not be interrupted in any way. Now, you know how to enable do not disturb mode.
