A Call of Duty subscription service is rumoured to be in development at Modern Warfare studio Infinity Ward, supposedly coming this year.
A Call of Duty leaker stated on Twitter that Infinity Ward plans to launch Call of Duty’s first subscription service. The leaker, RalphsValve, has leaked numerous Call of Duty details in the past.
Of course, take this with a grain of salt, but it’s suggested that Infinity Ward is working on a “major redesign and rebrand” for the game’s UI/UX systems as well as launching the subscription service.
Call Of Duty Subscriptions
This would not be the first Call of Duty subscription service introduced. Back during the days of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, a service called “Call of Duty: Elite” was introduced. This service was shut down in 2014.
RalphsValve’s leaks have been backed up by various other leakers too. ModernWarzone on Twitter reported that Call of Duty is considering 6 and 12 month battle pass subscriptions for future games, as well as Call of Duty: Warzone.
However, right now we don’t have any confirmation that this is actually happening. We’ll have to wait for an official announcement from Activision or Infinity Ward. Until then, this is just speculation. But it’s not out of the realms of possibility, especially since Call of Duty has done subscription services in the past.
