Cal Kestis might be getting his own Star Wars show, and it’s about time

Cal Kestis from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and the upcoming Jedi: Survivor is getting his own show, according to an insider.

Star Wars fans have a rather ridiculous amount of shows to look forward to, and if an insider is to be believed, there’s another one in the works. Star Wars insider Kristian Harloff claims that Cal Kestis will get his own live action show on Disney+.

This follows a plethora of Star Wars shows on the service. That includes The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka and Star Wars: Andor. And if this rumour is true, there’s going to be yet another show to add to that list.

Cal Kestis Show – What’s the Rumour?

Harloff said on YouTube “The rumour itself, at the moment, ladies and gentlemen. The popular character of Cal Kestis, who you know was played by Cameron Monaghan, rumour is that there’s a Cal Kestis show in the works for Disney Plus.”

He claims that Monaghan has signed on to play the character in live action, rather than the character being recast. However, he simply mentions that his “source” tells him that it’s happening without explaining much else. So, obviously we should take this all with a grain of salt.

But the timing makes a lot of sense, since Jedi: Survivor is coming out next year. Cal Kestis is at the forefront of Star Wars video games right now, and a show would help expand that story. We’ll just have to wait and see if Disney confirms anything related to a Cal Kestis show soon.

We got our first look at Jedi: Survivor in May with a teaser trailer. We learned that the game is coming out in 2023 at some point, but no specific date was revealed. We also know Cal Kestis is back alongside some potential returning characters from Star Wars lore.

You can buy Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for £19.95 on the GameByte shop.
