Black Ops 4’s Battle Royale Mode Is Free To Play This Week

If you haven’t yet given Call Of Duty‘s take on the battle royale genre a try then now might be your chance, because its infamous Blackout mode is going free to play.

Sharing the news on its official Twitter, Call Of Duty confirmed the week-long free trial saying: “Bring your friends — the Blackout Free Trial is coming.

“Play ’s Blackout Battle Royale for free from January 17th to the 24th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.”

Although free is the best price, the news hasn’t impressed everyone.

Any game going free to play is a hot topic right now. There’s been a few games that have announced they’re going to be completely free recently, and it’s left those who’ve paid for the game feeling pretty peeved…

In the case of COD though, it’s a week’s free trial and not a permanent change. Although, that hasn’t stopped people bringing in the debate.

Are you excited by the news?
