2. Firefly easter egg
You’ll notice Firefly posters being pasted across the walls during the teaser. If you don’t know, Firefly is a TV series dealing with space adventures, starring Nathan Fillion. It only aired for one season, but has managed to achieve a cult status among fans. It’s rumored Nathan Fillion might be playing the bad guy in Deadpool 2, and this just adds fuel to the rumor-fire.
1. References to the recently released Wolverine movie “Logan”
The Deadpool 2 teaser aired before Hugh Jackman’s last outing as Wolverine, “Logan”, which recently released in theaters worldwide. The people behind the teaser have paid homage to the movie in their own special way. You’ll notice a “Logan” poster behind a telephone booth and in a later scene, you can see the movie listed on a marquee.
